Santander created a Joint Venture with Getnet to begin operating with Mastercard.
Getnet acquired Auttar, an integrated sales reconciliation service provider.
Broke the acquiring market’s duopoly, becoming the first new participant in the Brazilian Payments Market (CADE and BACEN).
Launched our first color display POS and opened a new Tier III Data Center, tripling our capacity to process transactions.
Santander Brasil acquires 88.5% of Getnet for BRL 1.1 billion. Major achievements this year were certificates: ISO27001 and PCI DSS – V3.
The company invests in interoperability and becomes the first company to use all brands on its machines. In the same year, repositioned the brand and launched the Getnet APP and Sales Management.
Getnet becomes the first company to be certified as a Payment Institution by BACEN, which enables the company to provide purchase and sale services in movement resources.
Strong investment in e-commerce based on “One Stop Shop” concept, launching the first Getnet Digital Platform version. In the same year, Getnet began using Santander Brasil’s Tier IV Data Center – the highest level according to the Uptime Institute.
The company invests in the SuperGet Family, which focuses on microentrepreneurs, individuals and SMEs. In the same year, it launched a Split Payment solution, aimed at Marketplaces, a Digital POS with integrated automation, financial control and inventory management services and GetData, an intelligence and information service for competitors in the same market segment.
Santander Brasil acquires the remaining 11.5% of Getnet’s operations for BRL 1.4 billion.
Getnet begins targeting clients outside the Santander Group, creating new partnerships with banks such as PINE and Original.
Launched Loja Digital (Electronic Store) and GetPay: two digital solutions aimed at helping clients run, grow and operate their business online. These innovative products were crucial in aiding our clients during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The Loja Digital was made possible by the acquisition of the MineStore platform.
With over BRL 274 billion in TPV in 2020 and more than 15% of Market-Share, Santander Brasil decided to spin-off Getnet and list the company at B3 and Nasdaq.
In addition, we acquired Eyemobile, a Management Software company.
